New Choral Scholarship Scheme

We are very excited to be launching a choral scholarship scheme at St Alban's, to give young singers the opportunity to learn and develop their talents within our choir and to teach them valuable and fun skills that will last a lifetime.

Choral scholarships are open to anyone aged 13-18 who is comfortable reading music and, most importantly, loves singing. No experience of singing in a choir is necessary, but we are looking for people who can eventually take a leading role, so some past singing experience can be useful.

By singing at our weekly and monthly services, choral scholars will receive a free education in the fast-paced and thrilling world of church choir singing, singing from a wide range of beautiful and exciting music every week, as well as 5.000 kr. each for singing lessons to support and encourage the development of their voices.
Singing in a church choir teaches a singer many different skills, and is a fun way to make music with like-minded people on a regular basis. It is especially useful for young people who are interested in learning new activities and who want to broaden their musical abilities, and can also be a valuable added strength for university applications.
