
Evensong to welcome our new Patron and commemorate the liberation of Denmark
This Sunday, 4th May 2025, we will have a special Choral Evensong service to welcome the church's new patron, Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Gloucester, and to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Denmark and the end of the Second World War.
This Sunday, 4th May 2025, we will have a special Choral Evensong service to welcome the church's new patron, Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Gloucester, and to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Denmark and the end of the Second World War.
Please note that the service will start at the earlier time of 14.30. The congregation is kindly asked to be seated by 14.10. The service will last about an hour.
The Duchess of Gloucester was born in Odense and lived in Denmark before her marriage to The Duke of Gloucester in 1972. Her Royal Highness is a working member of the British Royal Family and undertakes duties in support of His Majesty The King. The service will also be attended by the British Ambassador to Denmark, Joelle Jenny.

- How beautiful upon the mountains - John Stainer (1840-1901)
