Safeguarding
We're committed to “Promoting a Safer Church” for the safeguarding of children, young people and adults who may be at risk.
This is in line with the Diocese in Europe’s Safeguarding Policy and Guidance which is itself aligned with the Church of England’s National Safeguarding Team.
All Clergy and Lay Readers have safeguarding training and need record check clearance certificates as a normal part of their ministry.
Anyone volunteering at St Alban’s Church is required to complete a Volunteer Agreement Form stating that they will follow the policies and procedures of the church and undertake basic training. More rigorous training is required for volunteer work with children and vulnerable adults.
